5 day lock down and the border bubble

Victoria 5-day lock down - Saturday 13/02/2021

News blog post

Great news for the Albury Wodonga residents. We can travel back and forth all within the previous Border Bubble map.

No need for a permit - you can still visit Puparazzi Day Spa

For people in NSW border communities, the five-day lockdown will only apply if they have visited Greater Melbourne after 11:59 on Friday, February 12.

Border residents are also able to travel freely within a "border bubble" between NSW and Victoria, without the need to complete a border declaration form.

NSW Health said the border community area would be the same as during the NSW-Victorian border closure last year.

For Victorians, the rules around Care for Pets allow you to travel outside of 5kms into Albury to provide care for your pets.

We have had a client phone the COVID VIC hotline and explained that they live in Beechworth and would like to visit Puparazzi Day Spa for their dogs Essential Services - the hotline explained that it was all OK to do so.

We have also checked that our Victorian Staff members are also allowed to come to work in Albury - the hotline explained that is was all OK to do so.

Business as usual.

The efforts amongst our local community to contain the COVID-19 are affecting us all in many ways. It is affecting our families, our businesses and our way of life.

Good news is - we can ensure your dogs essential grooming needs are still catered too!

We ask for your understanding and cooperation. How you can help us;-

  • We have provisions setup out the front of the Day Spa and welcome you to help yourself to ensure hands are sanitised before entering.
  • Allow a little more time for the check-in / checkout process. We will guide you through the new process.
  • Always bring your dog in on their Lead and Collar and be prepared to remove this when instructed. Just be sure to bring it back with you for pickup.
  • MASKS are welcomed and recommended - however not compulsory at this stage.

Please if you have any concerns or worries we would really appreciate a phone call. We are more than happy to explain how we have made the Day Spa as safe as possible for you and your dog to visit.
